During the acceptance process, the used, worn barrel is inspected and the cooling channels are tested for flow. It is then decided how the overhaul is to be carried out.
After receipt of the order, the worn liner is pressed out, the cooling channels are flushed if necessary and tested via pressure test. Each barrel is assigned a sequential repair number. In the further course of repair, bores and threads are reworked, and the entire outer body is cleaned using a suitable blasting medium. Once the outer body is back in like-new condition, the newly manufactured wear liner is pressed into the outer body and the sealing surfaces are ground. Finally, the outgoing inspection is carried out using a 3D measuring device in a climate-controlled room, in which all geometric data are checked. Before shipping, the tightness of the system is tested again via pressure test. Only then are we sure that our customers receive an almost like-new barrel from us, which also meets all safety requirements.
