With the recovery of household incomes, successful pandemic control, vaccine availability and political normalization, China's economy is on track to recover in 2021. During the exhibition, we learned from our visitors and customers what will be the main drivers of the electronics and PCB industry in the short to medium term:

  1. Continued growth is expected for New Energy Vehicles (NEVs). Major NEV manufacturers predict average annual growth of approximately 15% for the period 2021 to 2025.
  2. 5G with high demand:
    • The major acceleration of 5G infrastructure is driving the industries of 5G base stations and end devices.
    • Manufacturing industries of 5G mobile phones, connected products and peripherals
    • With the ongoing development of 5G technologies and infrastructure, enormous application possibilities in the Internet of Things (IoT) and more diverse IoT applications for industry and households will further drive demand in the electronics and PCB markets.
  3. China is currently expanding existing 5G technology to develop its „5G+ Industrial Internet“ strategy and has more than 1,100 ongoing „5G+ Industrial Internet“ projects covering 22 industries, including the cement, automotive, petrochemical, steel, mining and oil sectors.
