Laminate is produced by pressing at least two layers of a material, for example glass-fibre-reinforced prepregs (base laminate). Copper-clad base material is produced by laminating epoxy resin/glass-fibre mat prepregs with copper foil. The term "laminate" is therefore used as a synonym for base material.
