Dismantling service
Screw elements slide easily onto the shafts, as long as they are new and clean. Stripping elements from the shafts, however, can be a real challenge. Product might have penetrated between the elements, or between the elements and shaft. It will certainly solidify on cooling down, and may decompose due to the temperature. A very high force may be required to remove the screw elements from the shaft.
C.A.PICARD® has developed a hydraulic stripping device that copes with such problems effortlessly. You simply send us your screw elements on the shafts. We note the configuration, strip off the screw elements, clean them and check the wear condition. We can either re-assemble the shafts with the same screw configuration or make modifications according to your new requirements, incorporating the proper replacement parts.
