C.A.PICARD^® Japan participated in the PLASTIC JAPAN trade fair during the Highly-Functional Material Week in Osaka from 8 to 10 May 2024.

This expo is one of the world's most advanced exhibitions for the plastics industry. It gathers all kinds of technologies from raw materials and additives to moulding and processing machinery as well as recycling technologies. It is held twice a year, once in Osaka and once in Tokyo, and it brings together manufacturers who showcase their latest advanced plastics products, manufacturing equipment and recycling innovations. About 21,000 people visited the exhibition during these three days and many more customers than expected visited our booth.

This time, we exhibited the following items:

Barrel camera: A camera developed by C.A.PICARD^® for inspecting the interior of barrels. Traditionally, the barrels had to be disassembled to visually inspect their inner surface, but with this camera, it is possible to take pictures without disassembling the barrel.

FDS (Flexible Dismantling System) with PLC control to dismantle the screw elements from the shafts efficiently with full protection for the screw elements, the shafts and especially the operators (presented via promotional film and a small model of the FDS).

The next PLASTIC JAPAN will take place in Tokyo from 29 to 31 October 2024. We look forward to welcoming many guests at our booth again then.
