On 11 and 12 September 2024, the AMI Plastics World Expos took place in Brussels and brought together industry leaders, experts and enthusiasts from the global compounding, recycling and extrusion industries for two days of networking, exchange of knowledge and innovation aiming at doing business and conducting interesting expert conversations.
The entrance card gave access to the more than 170 established exhibitors of the trade fairs Compounding World Expo, Plastics Recycling World Expo and Polymer Testing World Expo.
After the change of the meeting place of the Compounding World Expo from Essen to Brussels, expectations were high, but the attendance was limited. Brussels as location was much less visited than Essen was the years before. The change of the meeting place did not help to gain additional visitors from the Benelux region.
The trade fair provided the opportunity to present and network. However, activities with customers were rather restrained.
Among the exhibitors, all machine constructors were present (apart from Maris). As always, Coperion had the biggest booth, but was also very disappointed by the number of visitors.
